Are you Happy?
Last night a friend of mine and I attended the screening for the Happy Movie. A documentary type movie about what actually makes people happy. It was quite an amazing and interesting journey from the psychology and physiology of happiness, to the environment in which we live, the people around us, our personal and professional successes, to the culture that we live in. There are so many components to what makes us happy. The question of happiness and what makes us happy is a complex and somewhat personal question. The Happy Movie was initiated by a director/producer in the United States – Tom Shadyac (who produced Patch Adams, the…

The Weight loss Journey
At the start of the year I made a commitment to myself. I was going to pull myself together and start exercising on a regular basis, and eating better. If you know me, I am the type of person who is more interested in catching up with a friend over coffee. I don’t drink coffee, but I love to sit and chat to my friends while they drink their coffees. I am happy to catch up with friends with either a hot chocolate or a glass of water. My group of friends are all changing our behaviour. We are still catching up for a coffee, but we are getting up…

The Easter Holidays are about to start….3 hours to go!
Wahooo!!! In just a few short hours I will be picking up my three adorable cherubs from school and saying Sayōnara to school life for 2 weeks. I am very excited! If you know me, you will know that I am one of those parents who just loves school holidays. I see school holidays as my opportunity to have fun with the kids. It’s an opportunity to relax and make some memories with the kids. I find it incredibly amusing how many mothers dread the school holidays, I must seem somewhat crazy to these mums – but I love holidays! Having four kids does make holiday time somewhat expensive,…

Its International Day of Happiness!!!
Are you happy? Today is all about being happy – Its the official International Day of Happiness. I personally believe that happiness is a choice. If we allow our circumstances to dictate whether or not we are happy, there are going to be ‘some’ who will live their whole life as a sad sack of potatoes. I personally have an issue with that mindset! Obviously there are times in our lives where circumstances do weigh into how we feel. A passing of a family member or a friend, or a loved one leaves and lives in another country, a business deal going sour, maybe our dreams haven’t come…

A Beautiful Gift
http://www.joybells.com.au Recently a very lovely friend of mine gave me a gift! Its a gift that I have to admit that I had never heard of before, and when I had opened it I was surprised and thrilled. I bet your wondering what my gorgeous little gift is? Well I will show you! It’s a Spongelle! I have used this gorgeous gift every time I have showered for the last 12 days, and its still going strong. The Spongelle is a beautiful bodywash infused buffer or sponge. This one is known as the Hot Spice Ginger Infusion, and lets just say that I feel fantastic getting out of the shower. This ‘Hot Spice…

How to Bring out your Inner Goddess!
As a Stay at Home Mum of four children, I decided a few months ago that I needed to go on a journey to find ‘Sarah’ again. The young youthful Sarah, I remember was a very different person to who I am now. I remember her to be a lot more fun and spontaneous than she is now. She used to spontaneously go and have hot chocolates (I am not a coffee or tea drinker) and play pool at the Twin Waters Resort with friends on a Friday or Saturday evening. The young Sarah tried to learn how to surf (failed miserably – but it was fun trying)…
