Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and welcome to a brand new year!

We are now six days in, and I must say that I have a very good feeling about this coming year. We decided to start planning events and adventures we can look forward to over the course of the coming year! I’ll admit that I was in a hurry to finish 2021, and it was so lovely to finish the year with good friends down at Mooloolaba and of course the fireworks! There is something very special about fireworks and friendship!

I believe whole heartedly that 2022 is going to be a great year. Last year was a good year in so many ways – hubby turned 50, we celebrated our 20th wedding Anniversary, we went on a family holiday, Ames got her p-plates and a job doing what she loves, we finished our homeschooling adventure, our two youngest are back at school this year. JJ started back at school mid way through last year, but Nell will be starting this coming year. 2021 was a good year in so many ways. It is so good to reflect on the good times, because there are so many good times to be had, and these good times will always out way the bad times.

I am thrilled to be hanging up my homeschooling hat. I am ready for a new adventure, but I will absolutely take back my homeschooling hat if the government decides to make it mandatory for children to be vaccinated for school. We won’t be allowing our kids to get the vaccine – this is not up for negotiation, and we will fight for the right to choose. My body, my choice! Our kids, our authority!

It’s funny how the world around us can be chaotic and crazy, but we can still go about our lives feeling completely at peace within the chaos. It’s not to say we didn’t or don’t have challenges, because we all have challenges, we have made the decision to not allow others to take our freedom. We may not know what the year will bring, but what we have in our family and friendships is strong and we as a group are excited to see what this coming year brings. We choose to believe 2022 will be a great year for us and everybody in our lives.

I have started my ’22 for 2022′ goals, but I haven’t quite finished putting them to paper, so I will post them as soon as I finish dreaming and thinking about what I want this coming year to look like. I am so excited for this upcoming year. We have so many good things to look forward too.

Something I am very excited about in this new year is the upcoming 2022 federal election. It seems our politicians have already started their campaigns in many respects. It will be very interesting to see what happens in the upcoming election. The most important thing to remember when voting is that we all need to put BLUE, RED and GREEN LAST on the ballot papers. It’s time the coalition, whether it be libs/Nationals, or Labor/Greens, the whole lot need to come crashing down. Hopefully with everything going on with the independents and the smaller parties we will see an amazing result at election time. Hopefully we can get rid of these criminals in government – past and present politicians need to be held accountable!

I digress….this wasn’t meant to be a political piece, sorry about that!

So 2022 is a brand new year with so many adventures to be had. So many experiences to be enjoyed, and so many friends and family to spend time with? This year is going to be what we make it. We choose Freedom and Faith over Fear. It is time to see some positive change in our communities, and we definitely want to be part of the upcoming changes in our area. Look out 2022!!

Till next time,
XO
