The Happiest Time of the Year!

Today is a magnificent day! The sun is shining and the sky is a beautiful blue. Finally, the weather feels as though we are slipping quickly into Spring. Only six days till Spring! This year Spring and Father’s day fall on the same day, so we are planning a fun day to celebrate here on the Coast. If you weren’t aware, Spring is my favourite season of the year. I look forward to our days becoming longer, and I look forward to saying goodbye to winter for another year. I know winter has its purpose, but I am a girl who loves Spring, and would love Spring to stick around…

    And Suddenly It’s August

Hello August, The last few months have been quite the whirlwind! I feel as though the weeks and months have just simultaneously merged into one another. Somehow June slid straight into August…I know we had a number of events and things to do in July, but I’d only be able to tell you what they were if I went to the calendar. Turns out, time stands still for no one. Only a few days ago,10th August, the school marked 100 days left of grade 12 for Nell and her friends. Obviously a few days have gone by so as of today (15th August), we are left with 95 days till…

Our moderate-mostly-warm-Winter has gone, and Spring has come around again.  The days are becoming longer, the birds are chirping, and the flowers are starting to burst and bloom with colour.  There is a sense of excitement in the air, and I know its all because Spring has arrived.  I think the best way to describe this feeling I have is that I feel my soul is rejoicing – Spring has arrived! Its a great time of year for so many reasons. 1. Warmer Weather. Spring means the weather is warming up and jumpers can be put…

    Spring in my Step!

Spring is here at last (insert happy dance here). I don’t know about you, but for me winter felt as though it would never end. It was a very long three months this year. I don’t know if I can fully express to you my excitement for Spring. Over the last couple of weeks I caught a chest infection and tonsillitis, which took me out of the game of life for a couple of weeks, and believe me it has not been fun.  Kicking illness to the curb is like a Spring present, after all, there’s nothing worse than a sick mum.  Households don’t function well when mum is down for…

Spring and the heat of renovating!

Its only been 1 month and 10 days since Spring started and I am not coping well with the heat.  Its not even Summer yet.   Summer starts on the 1 December and I am wondering if I have a thermostat issue.  Is it just me…or is everyone feeling overheated? Are my hormones going crazy or have I just forgotten how hot a true Summer can be here in Queensland. I miss our old house in Chancellor Park.  It was a lovely 3 bedroom home, with a pool.   Looking back – it was very nice.  Not enough room for 6 people – 4 of which are growing and need…
