The Start of our 50 cent Adventures
This week we had an unexpected adventure into Brisbane. Nell had a class excursion down to GOMA – Queensland Gallery of Modern Art to see the Iris Van Herpen exhibit. Being tertiary education there was no bus taking the group of students down to the exhibit so we decided to jump on the train and take advantage of the 50 cent fairs. Daydreaming and Planning
Over the last few months I have been watching the job sites and putting in for jobs that I believe I can do. With the cost of living going up, the extra money would be incredibly helpful. Wanting the Van Life
Something has happened to me over the last few years……the long and the short of my story is that I would love to sell up and live the van life. I know that technically we aren’t ready as a family to do that. The Christmas holidays are here. I love this time of the year. In fact, I consider it the best time of the year. It’s Summer, the days are longer, the kids are on holidays, and Christmas is just around the corner. It’s a great time of the year. The tree is up and the lights are bringing joy to our lounge room. The Gallery of Modern Art Brisbane
Over the Easter school holidays we took the kids down to Brisbane and visited the Gallery of Modern Art. We really loved our little adventure and wished we got down to Brisbane sooner, as there was so much to see. I think we only just touched the surface. There really is something for everyone. No one will walk away disappointed. The effort to drive down to Brisbane was so worth it! We definitely want to go again. Since we last spoke, life got a little busy with end of year school related busyness and then we headed off to the Gold Coast for our family holiday. We had ten glorious days on the Gold Coast. The school holidays are here and I don’t think I have to remind you all that I am ‘one of those mums‘. I am a mother who loves the school holidays. Glamping Fun!
Last weekend we ‘Glamped’ at the Broadwater Tourist Park on the Gold Coast. We were going to camp, but we had a number of cold nights here, and I chickened out of camping in a tent because I really didn’t feel that we were set up to camp in the cold. I’m still keen to camp but now that I have experienced the cabin option, I’m in love with glamping. Our cabin number was 312.
