    Going on a bear hunt…

    30 August 2012 / 0 Comments

This is one of my kids favourite stories of all time… they love the Swishy Swashing! Splash Sploshing! Squelch Squerching! Stumble tripping!  Hooo Wooooing! the Tiptoeing! that happens in the story.    I love their excited faces as we reach the part of the story when we actually go into the cave and find the bear and have to do the whole adventure in reverse. Do you live your life in the hurried reverse of trying to get home before the bear gets you!  In real life the bear may not be the bear itself, it might be ‘getting the kids to school on time’,  ‘getting homework done’, ‘it might…

    The Quest has begun

    28 August 2012 / 0 Comments

The quest for ultimate health has started…you should see some of the things I am googling and looking up on Pinterest!  There is so much information out on the internet that you can change your life and turn it upside down all by yourself these days if you have any will power at all?  The other part of this is that there is no excuse for us to not know how to find information.  How is your will power levels going? Well for me personally I wanted to start the process of looking at the types of foods I have been accustomed to eating because I am sure there are…

    A Big Day…and Surprise Visitors!

    26 August 2012 / 0 Comments

I knew last night as I went to bed that today was going to be a huge day.  A day full of things to do – not just todays jobs –  but many of yesterdays as we weren’t home for too long to do any!  Dion was off with the boys – guys from work to attend the annual Blackboard conference on the Gold Coast and he was leaving 3pm.  This year it is being held at the Bond University – Monday through to Wednesday of ‘Geek Speak’! So to help Dion pack – I ironed shirts and while I was there I ironed a few more so that I…

    Arm yourself with knowledge

    24 August 2012 / 0 Comments

There is a process to getting your head around losing weight. I know I have mentioned this subject before on my blog, but I have come to realise that one needs to get absolutely sick of themselves before they do anything about the situation that they are in.    Passion drives a person, and motivation keeps the wheels moving, and if I am completely honest with myself, I have been looking for the easy way out!.  No! its true! Why do I want to lose weight?   Well thats easy, I want to feel good and wear nice clothes. I also think that people feel that they can be successful…

    Cranky Old Women!

    23 August 2012 / 0 Comments

One of the little quirks I have is that I like to watch people and yesterday, I had an experience at the store that wasn’t as friendly as it could be.   I had all four of my kids with me.  The girls were being very good, but Jaden on the other hand was tired, frustrated, didn’t want to be in the trolley, wanted to walk and he is teething at the moment so he was being a little bit noisy as you can imagine. I was trying to do everything in my power (Superpowers were obviously turned off for some reason) to settle him and make him happy, but…

This is our Chanel and she has Food Sensitivities!

    21 August 2012 / 0 Comments

This is Chanel and we have been having some Food sensitivity issues. A number of months ago I took her to the doctor and had blood tests done and an ultra sound because she was complaining that she had tummy pain.   All the tests came up clear, and the doctor said that because Caeliac didn’t come up in the blood test he didn’t believe she was Caeliac, but there had to be  something in her diet causing this pain.   She also has issues going to the bathroom so he suggested that we take her off Lactose.   I didn’t realise how many foods had lactose in them, but…

Secret: I would love to live on the Gold Coast!

    20 August 2012 / 0 Comments

I know that many people hate the Gold Coast for many reasons, but I am going to defy all contary beliefs and tell you all my secret – I love the Gold Coast, and I would love to live down there.  What is it about the Gold Coast that I love.   Well its simple – I just do!  I love going on holidays, the Gold Coast Council has made the beach front areas a destination for families to enjoy.  You just have to look at Southport. Don’t get me wrong, i love the Sunshine Coast, but there doesn’t seem to be anything to do really.   I love the…

    Cosmetic surgery anyone?

    19 August 2012 / 0 Comments

Today I was looking through my blog feeling a little blah about it.   My blog was boring me so I have given a little freshen up.   Hence the cosmetic surgery.   Anyway it got me thinking about my thoughts on cosmetic surgery…now I have to say that I am 36 and feeling rather tired…I am getting those crows feet around my eyes when I smile…In many respects I feel as though my youthful days are well and truly behind me, and I am becoming a little pre-occupied with anti-aging and youth! Today, being Sunday, has been one of those days really.   I have started half a dozen…
