Do you have to put everything on line?

Well we all know the Kardashian family will do anything for a dollar!    I just wonder what they won’t do?   The Aussie site Kidspot.com.au has published a photo of Kourtney Kardashian, legs in stirrups, literally pulling her baby daughter out.   Is this too much information?  Do we need to see every aspect of their lives?   Are they able to keep some things in their lives private?    I get that some people don’t care how many people are in the room while they give birth….but having people all over the globe watching on television and seeing your birth photos is just a bit wierd. Well that’s…

    Womens Lifestyle Expo

September 14 and 15 2012 As you can see I am a little late posting about this fantastic event.   I have been processing  what I would like to say about this event as I really wanted to give the women’s expo the praise that it deserved.    Let me tell you – IT WAS FANTASTIC! Now, if you know me – you know that I Looooove womens expo’s. I love kids expo’s and markets, I love Work at Home Mums showing off their wares, I love hearing about women who started with nothing and have worked their business into a massive empire!  Women who are inspired to go into…

    Did you miss me…!

I bet your thinking that Mischievious Mum (me) went M.I.A?  Well I am back.  I have to admit that I did have a mini holiday and I found myself thinking about my blog and what I wanted to do with it! My mind was going crazy – I wrote many of my ideas down on paper – and I am still adding to the list!  First of all, however, I am going to tell you the quick version of my week away…well not quite a week. The Microsoft Tech Ed conference was back again for another year down on the Gold Coast. We love the Tech Ed conference as we…

    The 30 Day Challenge!

I found the perfect video for this blog post.  I have been giving this kind of challenge some thought over the last couple of days, so you can only imagine my excitement, yes excitement, when I found this video.  I am sure you are wondering why I would be excited to find a video – bit lame? No, not lame, but I am excited as it sets up my blog post perfectly. “The next 30 days are going to pass whether you like it or not, so why not think about something you have always wanted to try and give it a shot for the next 30 days?” (Matt Cutts) I…

Breathe in, Breathe out, Breathe in, Breathe out

Well, I got the car back from the mechanic and lets just say that I almost had to give over my left arm, and two toes.   That voucher I was talking about earlier was and is a crock!   Yes, it was a big service, but my gut feeling was that they saw a woman walk into their store and they knew what buttons to push.   I would love to name and shame them…but I won’t.   If you ask me who it was I will nod when you get it right…I just don’t want to be accused of publically shaming the business. I got a call earlier in the day to…

    Mechanic…are you ripping me off?

Today we are getting our car serviced.  It should have been done a few weeks ago, but we are getting it done today.   The two industries that make me nervous are Dentists and Mechanics.  Don’t get me started on my issues regarding the dental industry, so we will talk about mechanics. I heard on the radio some time ago that there is evidence to suggest that mechanics have been known to increase the price when a woman is asking for the service.  Apparently, it suggested that mechanics were less likely to rip off a man asking for the same service?   Today I feel vulnerable and at mercy to…

Oompa Loompa’s live at Kmart Caloundra

I am guilty of lying to my children.  I have encouraged them to believe in Santa, the Tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny and Oompa Loompa’s!  I made the lie more authentic by creating an email address – not for the Oompa Loompa’s, but the others. However, because i find it hard to swallow that these mysteriously pretend characters get all the praise for our hard work of buying our kids their Christmas presents….Santa and the Easter Bunny have found themselves affected by the GFC.  In fact all three of them are having some money woes.  Santa and his friends come and leave their wares, but the value of  the gifts…

    Birthday Present Ideas!

Ok, a while back I said to hubby that I would love to own a unit at the Circle on Caville – only $650 K.   Not sure why he scoffed, because we were all talking about what we wanted for our birthdays.   Now I did also say that I wouldn’t mind if I never got another birthday or Christmas present EVER again if I was given this as a gift – if we could own one of these units.   I vaguely remember him saying that he would like that in writing?! 🙂  I am thinking I was being considerate in my thinking!   However, as the months are rolling by and…
