Over the Easter school holidays we took the kids down to Brisbane and visited the Gallery of Modern Art.   We really loved our little adventure and wished we got down to Brisbane sooner, as there was so much to see.  I think we only just touched the surface.  There really is something for everyone.   No one will walk away disappointed.  The effort to drive down...

Since we last spoke, life got a little busy with end of year school related busyness and then we headed off to the Gold Coast for our family holiday.  We had ten glorious days on the Gold Coast. I got a brilliant deal at the Q1 via an eBay deal. I know what your thinking, “You got a great holiday deal on eBay?  That sound crazy!” Well yes it was crazy...

The school holidays are here and I don’t think I have to remind you all that I am ‘one of those mums‘. I am a mother who loves the school holidays.  I count the days down to the holidays and I put off thinking about going back to school till I absolutely have too.  Not because I dislike homeschooling, I just want to enjoy every moment of the...

Last weekend we ‘Glamped’ at the Broadwater Tourist Park on the Gold Coast.  We were going to camp, but we had a number of cold nights here, and I chickened out of camping in a tent because I really didn’t feel that we were set up to camp in the cold.   I’m still keen to camp but now that I have experienced the cabin option, I’m in...

Oops, time got away from me this month!   Its been quite a busy time here in our household. A while back I came across a simple article by Kelly Exeter who writes a blog called, ‘A Life Less Frantic’.  Kelly’s article is called ‘The One Thing…’.  I decided to answer the questions for myself.  If your interested in doing the...

Spring is here at last (insert happy dance here). I don’t know about you, but for me winter felt as though it would never end. It was a very long three months this year. I don’t know if I can fully express to you my excitement for Spring. Over the last couple of weeks I caught a chest infection and tonsillitis, which took me out of the game of life for a couple of weeks, and believe me it has not been fun.  Kicking illness to the curb is like a Spring present, after all, there’s nothing worse than a sick mum.  Households...

I wish it was possible to travel back in time. I’d go back to 3.00pm on the 27th June.   The last day of school term for semester 1. I’d really like to start the holidays again! While we had fun times over the holidays, the second week was neither relaxing or fun. Especially for poor hubby, who had to have his wisdom teeth out – all four of them...

Its been weeks since I have written!   Not because I haven’t wanted to write, I have just had a lot on my plate.  Our lives have been rather hectic and chaotic over the last few weeks, actually the last couple of months,  I literally haven’t had a chance to write – although I must say that I have been giving ‘the next blog post’ some thought.   The next blog post is always on my mind!  🙂 The school year literally screeched to a halt on the 5th December, and I must admit that I had been feeling as though...
