    ISO-Organising

    15 May 2020 / 0 Comments

For the first time in a long time I can honestly tell you that I feel as though my world at home is coming together. You probably think this post sounds boring, strange or even a funny thing to write about, but before iso-times began, I felt as though I never had time to do those extra tasks that need to be done around the home, you know conquering cupboards, cleaning out out-of-control drawers, and tackling the garage. While some painted, DIYed, crafted, baked, learned to play instruments, put puzzles together, read, and watched movies, I made the decision to get my home in order. My goal was to become…

    Hello 2019

    9 January 2019 / 0 Comments

There is something quite special about this time of year. Yes it is hot, but the days are long, Christmas and new year celebrations bring family and friends together, and the feeling of being on school holidays makes my heart smile from the inside out. I am in no rush to get back into the grind of term life. Holidays fit me very well – I think they look good on me!! I love the long end of year holidays where we can linger and enjoy the Sunshine Coast for what it is I know I will sound cheeky when I say this, but living on the Sunshine Coast is…

November – the month of getting organised!

    21 November 2012 / 0 Comments

Over the last couple of weeks I have been doing a lot of thinking.  I have been trying to work out the direction I want to take in 2013.   I am trying to make a few decisions for my life.   Does anyone else find that they start thinking about the direction for their lives in November, or is just me?     I wonder if its because I see tables of fresh new diaries for the next year popping up on tables in shopping centres, so one feels a little pressure to do something with one’s life?  There is something surreal about the month of November for me.…

Thank God its Friday, and making the most of where we live!

    2 November 2012 / 0 Comments

I am a naughty mummy.  I am completely and disgracefully guity of…..taking for granted the beauty to which I live.  Right now I am sitting here at Gloria Jeans enjoying the outdoors, enjoying the view, watching the people wander by!  I wander how many of these strangers, in their different levels of attire live their lives here on the Coast, or are they visitors from other areas?  I wander how many live on the coast here, and how many take it for granted?  Like me? I actually feel bad that I don’t make it a priority to enjoy the Sunshine Coast as much as I possibly can – I even…

The week that came and went….

    28 October 2012 / 0 Comments

Well this week has been a great week, and a very busy week.  The week started with birthdays,Wet’n Wild, a student free day,  the normal school week, organising a family barbeque for tomorrow for 15 people, and secretly interviewing child care centres.  Jaden needs some structure and playtime with other little boys, and I need a little space, and the ability to do a grocery shop without Jaden throwing items out of the trolley.   He really is a grocery store nightmare.    You may laugh, but I spend more time in the shopping centre trying to grab things that he has either thrown out or is about to throw…

    Getting this house in order.

    15 October 2012 / 0 Comments

Over the weekend I reached my threshold for putting up with clutter.   Clutter comes in all forms for me.  Its not just the stuff that we have in our home that we no longer need but can’t be bothered passing on, its so much more than that.   Clutter is everything in our lives that is a bit out of control.  It might be the paperwork – TAX, filing paid bills, not having a place for unpaid bills, the bedrooms are untidy and the living areas feel a bit out of control. There are too many toys, papers, books, dvd’s and videos, and games – just to name a…

    As the days go by…!

    16 August 2012 / 0 Comments

This week has come and gone so quickly.  Amy went to camp and came home, Monday came and went and now its Thursday night and I am contemplating what needs to be done tomorrow.  Its not a matter of what should I do? Its more a case that I am wondering which jobs are absolutely necessary and which ones can I get away with not doing.  I do have a list on the table that I will look at in the morning – I feel half way organised just because I have a list. How do you get organised?   I have a list that I then put into my…
