Wakey, Wakey!
If you watched the Grammy’s last week, you will know that we are living in incredibly dark times. I don’t normally write about this type of thing, but it is time for people to wake the heck up! Look around you. Is it normal in our society to allow an entertainer like Sam Smith and his trans friend Kim Petros dress like Satanic priests at a public event such as the Grammies. They performed their song ‘Unholy’, and while entertaining the crowd, dancers performed what I would call a mock human sacrifice. It was disgusting on so many levels. Shocking! I know. Right!!!??? The thing that gets me, is that…

A brand New year – 2023
Happy New Year! Today is the 17th Day of the year, and I have something to admit. I still haven’t taken down the Christmas tree. I will, I just haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m thinking I will put it on my goals list for 2023. I know it will be an easy goal to tick off the list, and I am keen to add some really easy goals into the mix so that I can gain some tread, momentum for the year! The last couple of weeks have been somewhat of a whirlwind. Since coming home from our Coolongatta holiday, we have been busier than I had hoped to…

December 2022
Hello Again! What a crazy last couple of months we have had!! I thought I would give you a little update, since I wrote last time. 1. At our school’s High School Presentation night, Nell was awarded numerous awards – Age Champion, Creative arts award, an academic award, and a Christian achievement award. 2. Chanel was also chosen as one of the 2023 School Captains. There are 5 really lovely kids who were elected. Nell’s role in the coming year will be quite significant. It will be fun to watch her grow in the months to come. Nell looks amazing in her red jacket! 3. Jj had his presentation night…

A Little Catch Up
We have just left the fun and familiarity of October, and we are now 6 days into November. 2022 is not slowing down, but getting faster as we head into the end of year activities. There is still time to achieve a few ’22 for 2022′ goals, but to do so means that time is of the essence . A few ideas will need to go on next years ’23 for 2023′ list. There are a few ideas I dropped from this year due to a lack of resources or changes in terms to our priorities. I know it’s the eleventh hour in many respects, and this has been an…

Learning Calmness
Well, term one of 2022 was much bigger than I anticipated it to be. I very naively went into the first term of the school year expecting to have a lot more time in my day to work through my very long To-do list. After seven years of homeschooling and always having someone with me, I was finally going to be childfree for 6 hours of the day. I was excited to have time on my own, and to have time to get my ‘To Do’ list done. My personal list of things that need doing or sorting out has been growing over the last few years, so I really…

Canberra the New Hot Spot
If I could be anywhere right now, I would be in Canberra! I have no desire to live down in Canberra, but I would go down for a period of time to attend the biggest Australian protest rally I have ever seen in my life. The rally was today, the 12th of February 2022, and the reason why I would attend is to make some noise and annoy our corrupt politicians. Little ol’ me on my own is not noisy enough to make a difference on my own, but imagine how much noise a million people stomping their feet outside parliament house would cause. This protest is going to be…

22 for 2022
And just like that plans change…or do they? There is something very special about the start of a brand new year. The fireworks smell lingers in the air for a few days, and as we all get used to writing the new year – 2022 instead of 2021, I like to start thinking about what I would like the coming year too look like. I love this time of year, I love the newness of a new year. The idea that a fresh page is set before us is appealing. Anything is possible, What will this new year will bring us? The question I like to ask is ‘What would…

Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas and welcome to a brand new year! We are now six days in, and I must say that I have a very good feeling about this coming year. We decided to start planning events and adventures we can look forward to over the course of the coming year! I’ll admit that I was in a hurry to finish 2021, and it was so lovely to finish the year with good friends down at Mooloolaba and of course the fireworks! There is something very special about fireworks and friendship! I believe whole heartedly that 2022 is going to be a great year. Last year was a good year in…
