The week that came and went….
Well this week has been a great week, and a very busy week. The week started with birthdays,Wet’n Wild, a student free day, the normal school week, organising a family barbeque for tomorrow for 15 people, and secretly interviewing child care centres. Jaden needs some structure and playtime with other little boys, and I need a little space, and the ability to do a grocery shop without Jaden throwing items out of the trolley. He really is a grocery store nightmare. You may laugh, but I spend more time in the shopping centre trying to grab things that he has either thrown out or is about to throw…

Birthday Month = Fun Fun Fun
Since I have posted last, life has been incredibly busy. As I write this I am asking myself when life isn’t busy? Life is always busy! My life is always busy! Life just keeps rolling by – whats that saying ‘life happens while your making plans’. I sometimes feel that we should have all been issued with a pause button, just so that we can rest or catch up on what we need to get done before a scheduled event. At this time in my life – I feel that a pause button would benefit my life greatly. Actually, if I am allowed I would also ask for a sleep…

Screams of joy coming from Aroona home
Okay, I am sure you are all wondering what I am on about, but I needed to just tell everyone how proud I am of myself – I worked out how to change my blog domain name from mischieviousmum.wordpress.com TO mischieviousmum.com – I KNOW!!!!!!!! I have other plans for the blog…but we are a work in progress here so one step at a time!!! 🙂 Last week I had a number of days of severe catastrophic crazy domain name changing cranky pants. Told you it was severe. Nothing I did worked and then wordpress turned around and told me at one point that nothing could be done for 72 hours!…

Diplomacy is an Art
This morning on Sunrise – yes we are Sunrise fans, Julia Gillard – Our Aussie Prime Minister was asked by some officials in India, if she liked Tony Abbott – the oppositional leader here in Oz. (Thanks Google images) I am neither a Gillard or Abbot fan, our Politics here in Australia has become a time of personal flinging matches rather than making decisions on the issues for the people of Australia. I may be completely wrong here – but it seems to me that our Pollies spend more time attacking one another than fighting for the cause. What do they actually stand for? What are we voting for…

Getting this house in order.
Over the weekend I reached my threshold for putting up with clutter. Clutter comes in all forms for me. Its not just the stuff that we have in our home that we no longer need but can’t be bothered passing on, its so much more than that. Clutter is everything in our lives that is a bit out of control. It might be the paperwork – TAX, filing paid bills, not having a place for unpaid bills, the bedrooms are untidy and the living areas feel a bit out of control. There are too many toys, papers, books, dvd’s and videos, and games – just to name a…

Classes for next year have been proposed!
Yesterday I read the school newsletter and found that while my big girls will be in straight classes next year – year 4 and 5, the admin at the school are bracing us parents early for the prospect of a year 1/2 class and a 2/3 class. Now if you know me, you will know that I am not in favour with this idea. Some may disagree with the way I am thinking, but here it goes. My youngest little girl will be going into year 2 next year, she is one of the youngest in her class, being a late May baby, but if its up to…

I am becoming a real ‘techy mum’
Isn’t it amazing that we really can do anything we put our minds too! Obviously we are all different, and what I want for my life will probably be very different to what you want for your life, but at the end of the day, when the rubber meets the road, we all have dreams and desires that we would like to conquer while we are here on earth. For some of us this dream or goal, may be small – like clean out the pantry, but then there are other dreams or goals like going back to study and either finishing a degree or starting one. We all…
