Listen up!

I have been listening to lots of new podcasts of late.   I get really sick of the television.   I get sick of the ads, not to mention the content of most shows are pretty lack lustre.

I much prefer to spend time either reading, or listening to a podcast.  I have become quite intentional with my time.  I get frustrated when I waste time watching a show or spending to much time on social media.  I have become aware of how quick time flys by, and I really don’t want to waste time on things that don’t matter in the grand scheme of what we are doing and where we are going.

I know I have written about my favourite podcasts in the past, but that seems like forever ago,  and since then, I have actually completely changed up my list, and some no longer exist.  So I thought I would put together my NOW list.   I really like podcasts that push me towards being a better person, and I have found all of these in one way or another have been good for me and have encouraged me.

So here we go….

  • At Home with Sally Clarkson

  • Happier with Gretchen Rubin

  • Rise Podcast

  • Rise Together

  • Havilah Cunnington

  • The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivy

  • Over at Alicia’s (a homeschooling podcast)

  • Side Hustle with Chris Guillebeau.

  • The Small Steps Living Podcast

  • Going Scared with Jessica Honegger

  • The Alli Worthington Show

  • The Slow Home Podcast

  • The Simple Show with Tsh Oxenreider

  • The Homeschool Sisters Podcast

  • The Enneagram Journey

  • Declare Conference

I don’t listen to every single episode of  all these, I usually pick what I am interested in it at the moment in time, and for those I am unsure of, I use the 5 or 10 minute rule.  I have this little anxiety about wasting my personal time, so I decided to give myself permission to not finish the movie, podcast, television show, or book, if it’s not working for me. I no longer feel stressed about not finishing something I am not really that interested in.

I thought I would also share with you, some that my kids love.

  • World Shapers

  • How they made their millions.

  • Bedtime History

  • Dad and Me Love History

  • Wow in the World

  • Brains On! Science Podcast

  • But Why

I love how these podcasts teach the kids about life and what’s happening around us.

I’d love to hear what podcasts you listen too…or your kids listen too.  I’m always on the look out for good kids podcasts! 🙂
